Xiao Yang Wang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Northeastern University in 2010 and 2012, respectively, under the supervision of Prof. Guo Guo Ren; and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in January 2016, under the supervision of Prof. Xue Min Lin, Associate Prof. Ying Zhang and Associate Prof. Wenjie Zhang. From October 2015 to May 2017, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Technology Sydney and the University of New South Wales, respectively; in May 2017, he joined Zhejiang University of Technology and Industry and was promoted to researcher at the end of 2017. He has published more than 20 papers in top conference journals in the field of database, including SIGMOD, TKDE, VLDB, ICDE, SIGIR, etc., and several patents, and is currently presiding over one National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has been working on the design of novel and efficient algorithms to address key issues in spatial data, spatial keyword data, stream data, graph data (especially social networks).
